EC 250- Museum Commemorative Engraved Brick Paver Sponsorship

As part of EC250, Ellicott City’s yearlong sestercentennial, the Society also celebrated the successful completion of the 5-year renovation of the Ellicott’s Second Quaker School/Weir House (1790) that is situated adjacent to the Museum of Howard County History (MHCH). In April, we opened the Ellicott Mills Children’s Museum (EMCM) on this historic building’s second floor, providing an interactive journey back in time to the life and culture of a 19th-Century mill town.

To improve the connection between the two museums, provide additional teaching and exhibit space, and link Court and Park Avenues, we are constructing a slate patio, courtyard, and walkway. And, we have found the perfect way to support the Society and celebrate EC250 at the same time: sponsor a commemorative engraved brick paver personalized with a special message from your business, organization, or family (3 lines @ 14 characters each) for display in the patio’s decorative border. Become a part of Howard County’s ongoing history and support the collections, operations, and programs of our expanded museum complex.

Simply click on the button below to download the brick paver sponsorship form, and send it along with your payment of $150 to our Archives in the Miller Branch Library at 9421 Frederick Road, Ellicott City, MD 21942 or scan & email to info@hchsmd.org, paying by credit card via phone to 410-480–3250 or in person at the Archives or, simply fill in the form presented below to submit and process your payment via credit card online.
